This one-day training will review the importance of biomedical interventions as they pertain to HIV/AIDS prevention. Throughout the training, attendees will learn about the role combination biomedical and behavioral interventions can play in helping to reach the goals of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy; the impact of linkage to medical care and viral load suppression on HIV transmission; the basics of Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) and Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP); and how to discuss these biomedical interventions with clients.
