This one-day course is designed to train front-line staff (e.g., patient navigators/coordinators, HIV test counselors, and other prevention counselors) to provide basic education about Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) to clients who might benefit from these interventions. The training focuses on PrEP in greater depth, and includes training on providing PrEP decision-making counseling for clients considering PrEP and PrEP adherence counseling to clients who are initiating PrEP. In addition, the training includes a brief module that outlines how clients might pay for PrEP as a precursor to PrEP-related insurance navigation.
